COAST GUARD SUSPENDS SEARCH FOR MISSING BOATER — David Wayne
Pensacola FL (Newsradio 92.3) — The Coast Guard has suspended their search for the boater that went missing near NAS Pensacola earlier this week. Rescue crews had searched for around 9 hours and covered more than 100 square miles. The missing boater was identified as 29-year-old Pete Griffin. The search began after a man swam onto shore at NAS Pensacola and said he and Griffin had been in a boat that capsized. That man was taken to the Perdido Key Emergency Room.
