AMERICAN MAGIC SALING TEAM NAMED PENSACOLA MARDI GRAS PARADE MARSHALS — Steve Taylor
(Pensacola, FL (NewsRadio 92-3) — Pensacola Mardi Gras has announced The American Magic sailing team as Parade Marshalls for this year’s Pensacola Mardi Gras Grand Parade. That’s the sailing team training on Pensacola Bay to represent the US in America’s Cup challenge. You may have noticed their large black sailboat out on the bay moving at speeds faster than some power boats. After training, they’ll relocate to Barcelona for the final push into the 37th America’s Cup in 2024. The Grand Parade will continue the tradition of being held on the Saturday before Fat Tuesday, on Saturday, February 18th. On that day, the parade will roll at 2 pm in Downtown Pensacola. In the past, over 225 parade entries and 6,000 people have participated, and spectators have been estimated at over 80,000.
