ADDITIONAL ARRESTS IN THE PELICAN’S NEST SHOOTING — Steve Taylor
Two more individuals were arrested by the Pensacola Police Department in relation to the shooting at the Pelicans’ Nest in June of last year. The five people who were shot there suffered non-life-threatening injuries. Martin Eugene Hendrix of Pensacola was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, and shooting or throwing of a deadly missile. Shaquille O’Neal Calhoun of Pensacola was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. The Pensacola Police Department does not anticipate any further arrests in this case.
